			Chinese Banyan (Ficus
microcarpa) has another name – 「Overlord tree」.  It gets the
name because of its numerous aerial roots, hanging down from the
crown, fall to the ground and become trunks supporting the broad
crown.  The tree goes on spreading and eventually 「a tree becomes a
forest」.  Before being an overlord, it is prerequisite to be the
			「bearded warrior」.
Chinese Banyan is common in Hong Kong.  However,
according to aesthetic standards in the past, a 「bearded warrior」
with too many aerial roots was not too appealing.  Thus, nowadays it
really takes some effort to find a Chinese Banyan with thick aerial
			roots. |
